This shade is becoming a familiar one around here... I love these coral tones that have a bit of terracotta depth to them... a murkiness rather than that more plastic coral sheen. I seem to keep circling back to these kinds of pinkish / rosy / peachy shades this year. Some recent iterations on my radar...
Evening primrose...that sounds so lovely! I love coral too. Not too long ago I was donating some clothes and weeded out about 6 t-shirts, all about the same salmon color, that I had managed to accumulate. It's just one of those colors! ;) it always seems like a good idea!
I like the softer, peachier shades of coral. A while ago one of my favourite Australian stores went coral-crazy with its clothing line, and they did it in a really harsh shade of coral. Not my thing. But there is something so alluring in soft shades of coral.
Coral is a colour I assumed I couldn't wear as I'm always rather pink and blushy, but in fact I idly picked up a corally-toned scarf and found it softly pretty. and lovely against your soft greys..
A murkiness rather than a plastic sheen - yes, that is what I appreciate about these coral colors. I recently bought dark coral (more on the burnt orange side) pillow shams to add a pop of color to my dark wood/forrest green/navy blue living room and that combination works very well.

ReplyDeleteHa! That's nice - even the colour on your photo has coral tones... I'm usually into much cooler blues and greys, but I do love it too!
