Louis le Brocquy, RIP

My favourite Irish artist, and among my favourite portrait painters of all time, has passed away at the age of 95. I don't have words to tell you how sad I am. I met Mr le Brocquy once and it was one of the highlights of my life. His work speaks for itself (and the connection I would feel is immediately apparent). I've blogged about some of it previously.
