Resonating rooms

I keep coming back to these two images from Rum. Something about the way pictures are displayed on top of the bookshelf resonates with the books behind the bed. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that many other elements jive with everything I love...

White walls, naturally. Plus, the swan chair and me are seriously meant to be (some day, some day!) And books aplenty are, of course, 100% Janey. But the way the bed is wrapped into that half-wall? That just makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Warm and fuzzy!

  1. I adore books above a bed. We have a bookcase that serves as our headboard in our bedroom that is chock full of books :)

  3. Stacks of books and magazines... They have been quite the theme around here lately, no?

I also love those half walls with the bathrooms right on the other side. Very European - you don't really see that in the US very often...

White walls... I just can't get enough of them...

Sigh. (That's a peacefully content sigh, to clarify.)

  7. The bed wrapped in that half wall does the same thing to me - warm and fuzzy. It seems so cozy. I love the row of books too.
