Plant pots

I get a lot of pleasure from a vase of flowers, but there's a different kind of pleasure that comes from a plant thriving in my care. I would love to have a few more plants around my apartment. Succulents are a true favourite (and unkillable), but I'm also thinking of filling my bullet planter with many orchids (wouldn't that be epic!) - I just need to do some research first so I can go forth confidently. Here are some other plant pots inspiring me...

Clockwise from top left: Crete planter from 18Karat, Plant Pod from Perch! Design, Tripod from Pigeon Toe Ceramics, Bigarra from IKEA

  2. I have some on my desk (the sunniest part of my apartment) and they thrive there. But yeah, plants are fickle. I have a hit-amd-miss track record with them.

  3. goal # 1 for 2010: find a place to live. goal # 2: fill it gobs of plants so it looks like a greenhouse:) Did you see on Martha Stewart's blog, she had a heap load of oranges and kumquats she grew from her greenhouse in NYC in the middle of winter!!

  4. Chelsea - I really have to regulate how often I visit Martha's blog. Sometimes it's just too much (I want a horse! I want a greenhouse! I want a blogging studio and attic craft room!) That said, I will hop right over and take a look now...

  5. I so want a greenhouse. Greg wants a lemon tree. I have to hold off till the lead paint is all removed. I'm scared I will kill them all.

One thing I have learned about growing plants. Don't put them near heat. They kinda like the cold. Oh and get a spray bottle.
