I have a quiet fantasy about opening a store in a small town. It would have a super small collection of handpicked items. The problem has always been that I'm incapable (even in a fantasy) of committing to just clothes or interiors or food or a haberdashery or wee garden centre.
The mini department store has always appealed to me because it lets you have a bit of everything, yet carve out a coherent aesthetic. I Gigi General Store is an example of this executed to perfection. I love the menswear size on the wall in the middle image (click to see bigger).I want to shop there!

Oh do it! I love the idea of a mini dept store!
