Liz Parkinson

I go through phases (like here) when I fantasize about having a studio, a darkroom, a workshop in the country. Or a house with a mews behind it that I can convert into all of those things. I guess I'm lucky because my main passion - writing - is ridiculously portable and easy on space requirements. But a place dedicated to those messier creative endeavors is definitely on my ultimate, ultimate wishlist.

I discovered Liz Parkinson via the Japanese Paper Place website. Her artwo
rk is amazing. But then I clicked on her studio. My oh my. And remember Clare Basler's work space? Golly! I do wish these kinds of spaces were more feasible (and affordable) in the city!
